Creative Connections 2: Your Community Needs You!

We Are Seeking Workshop Leads and Volunteer Co-Hosts

Earlier this year, Arts Network Sutton secured Lottery funding to run a series of online workshops designed to help reduce feelings of loneliness and help people in our community feel more connected. Those sessions were so successful we’ve managed to secure further funding to run six additional workshops, and we need your help!

Workshop Leads

Are you a current Member of ANS with a great idea for a creative workshop? Are you available to run a session on a weekend date in November? If so – we want to hear from you.

Click here to complete this simple application, briefly outlining your workshop idea, and what you need (materials, logistics etc) to make it happen. If your application is successful we have the funding to pay you a fee of at least £175.00 to design and deliver a creative workshop which runs for an hour or two, and that plays to your strengths. We have additional budget to help with the materials and logistics too. So tell us – what would you like to do?

Eligibility

All current Members of ANS are eligible to pitch their ideas. and we are particularly keen to hear from creative practitioners we have not worked with previously. Our funder has asked that we focus on face to face activities this time so please bear this in mind when pitching your ideas.

The deadline for us to receive your ideas is 8pm on Sunday 10th October and we will inform all successful applicants on Thursday 14th October. All sessions will run on weekends in November, and we will work with you to find mutually convenient dates.

Volunteer Co-Hosts

We are keen for each workshop to have a volunteer co-host from our network. Your job will be to welcome people to the session and check names against the guest list. In return for helping, you will get a free place at the workshop and your travel expenses will be reimbursed. If this is something you’d like to do for your community, email us at [email protected] and we’ll share more details.

We can’t wait to see what you come up with and we wish you all the best with your applications.
