Stoneleigh Youth Orchestra return to Fairfield Halls with two titans of the orchestral repertoire. Both are firm favourites for many concert-goers, combining perfectly crafted melodies with powerfully exhilarating drama. SYO enjoyed performing Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony at Fairfield Halls last year, and this time it’s the turn of the Fourth – a work of blazing fanfares, a humorous scherzo, and euphoric celebration. We are delighted that Daniel Brandon is joining us again to perform Dvorak‘s mighty Cello Concerto, a work that showcases wonderfully the talents of both soloist and orchestra. We will be taking both these works on tour to Spain in July.
