Morgane Pairain
About
Morgane is a contemporary – mostly abstract but sometimes figurative – painter based in Carshalton, South London, UK, where she has lived most of her adult life. She is a member of the Carshaslton Artists.
She takes her inspiration from her surroundings, the landscape, her emotions, her upbringing in France and Morocco, her travels and her love of food and nature. Morgane’s paintings aim is to bring the viewers along with her on a discovery of feelings and moods, exploring the nature and compatibility of different forms, shapes and colours, and enabling the viewer to reflect on life’s wonders and struggles.
Morgane is mostly self-taught and has been drawing and painting since a very young age. She says: “As a child, I always preferred to draw rather than talk to explain how I felt, something I have kept with me all my life.” She has taken a number of classes with and is mentored but Claire Chandler, another Carshalton Artist.
Morgane’s fascination for life force, forms and the human body also translates into her work as Chinese medicine practitioner.
