About

Morgane is a contemporary painter based in Carshalton (South London), in the UK where she has lived most of her adult life.

Morgane takes her inspiration from her emotions and surroundings.  Her paintings are mostly abstract and concerned with using feelings and intuition to let the picture take form and become the result of what she feels is an intimate relationship between creation and creator.  Her aim is to bring the viewers along with her on a discovery of feelings and moods, exploring the nature and compatibility of different forms, shapes and colours, and enabling the viewer to reflect on life’s wonders and struggles.

Morgane mostly uses acrylic but also enjoys other mediums such as oils, watercolours, pastels, graphite, collage etc.

Morgane has been drawing and painting since a very young age. She says: “As a child, I always preferred to draw rather than use words, something I have kept with me all my life. I enjoy helping people see things differently through visuals.”

Morgane is mostly self-taught but has taken a number of workshops with various artists and is being mentored by Claire Chandler, a British abstract painter. She is currently studying Art & Design at West Dean College.

Morgane is a member of the Carshalton Artists group, which runs open studios every year (CAOS). She exhibits regularly and last year (2024) she was selected to exhibit at The Horton Summer Exhibition 2024, making her one of the 60 artists selected from across thousands of artists in south London and surrey.

Morgane’s fascination for life force, forms and the human body also translates into her work as Chinese medicine practitioner.
