 met this challenge\, and takes a fresh look at well-known paintings of Chr

DESCRIPTION:THE GREAT WOOLLY HAT TRAIL 2023 - Carole Baker\n\nDuring the s
 ummer of 2023\, an amazing\, colourful and fun\, free public art trail is 
 coming to Carshalton providing a stunning must-see attraction for all to e
 njoy – and you’re invited to enjoy the adventure! \n\nThe Great Woolly
  Hat Trail starts on 22nd July and runs until the 14th September 2023. Loc
 ated within the stunning surroundings of Carshalton. Access to the River W
 andle\, Carshalton Park and Hackbridge Community Gardens are all close by 
 while on the trail. Visitors can bring a picnic or support one of our many
  independent cafés while passing through the high street.\n\nA Trail Map 
 will be available from www.creativecarole.com/thegreatwoollyhattrail2023 o
 n 22nd July 2023. This can be used on your phone\, tablet or printed from 
 your computer.\n\nCarole Baker has been producing post box hats since Dece

DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Landscape artist of the Year competition in lov
 ely Manor Park.  All ages and abilities welcome.  Come along to create a
 n image of the park.  Please bring your own materials\, but we do have so
 me extra art materials for children.  Any medium apart from oils and no l
 arger than A3 please.  Entry is free.\n\nYou will have up to 3 hours to c
 reate your artwork\, which will be professionally judged on the day.  Pri
 zes of art vouchers for adults and teens and art boxes for younger childre
 n.  Winning artworks from the participating parks will be exhibited at a 
 special exhibition in Sutton Library in November\, with further prizes for
  overall winners.  A lovely\, unpressurised way to enjoy painting or draw
 ing plein air.\n\nThere will also be a chalk art trail with Team Imagineer
 s for families during the competition\, plus a Calligraphy class at 4pm.\n

 gy Centre Walled Garden Hall\, Festival Walk\, Carshalton SM5 3NY on Satur

 son and Amelie Chevalier present a physical embodiment of Kate Bush's unfo
 rgettable and iconic 2005 album 'Aerial'. Complete beginners\, established
  artists and anyone who would like to try drawing\, painting\, writing or 
 poetry (open to ALL) are invited to find inspiration from the performance 
 they see on stage. \n\nThere'll be some held/still poses and LOTS of movi
 ng -  again\, open to writers of both songs and prose to find motivation 
 from both the performance and the remarkable music of Kate Bush.\n\nThere 
 will be some very basic art and writing materials provided (eg A4 sugar pa
 per\, chalk\, charcoal) - so EVERYONE can try stuff out! But - if you are 
 a more experienced artist / poet - you may wish to bring all your own mate
