It will bring together a talented community of professional artists and businesses on an art trail that includes free workshops, demonstrations and arts exhibitions in June. This art trail will be in condensed into the Carshalton postcode of SM5 in artists’ studios, houses, galleries and heritage buildings, all within short walking distances of each other.
The Cryer Arts Centre will be on the trail with a collaboration of 15 visual artists running a range of multi disciplinary demonstrations on how they produce their work. Further events that increase awareness of local heritage and charities are planned across the whole trail, including artists in Carshalton High Street and across the whole of Carshalton.
Sutton Heritage Service will open its amazing historical houses for all four days, to celebrate the life and work of local artist Frank Dickinson. The theme of arts and crafts will be celebrated further with print making sign up workshops run in Little Holland House. Local schools will display work in local businesses and there will be an artists decorated pig trail and the Oaks Park artists will open their studios to the public as well.
